Conrad Dickinson

One of the world’s leading figures in Polar Exploration. A proud ‘born and bred’ Northumbrian who has spent most of his career working in the North East of England, successfully building his family business. He served as an Officer in the British Army, specialising in Arctic Warfare and is the only Briton to complete the Polar Grand Slam; the three toughest Polar journeys. His expeditions crossing Greenland, Antarctica and reaching the Geographic North Pole were all unsupported.

He is the first and only Briton to achieve what is called the “Polar Grand Slam” completing the World’s 3 hardest Polar journeys Crossing Greenland, Antarctica and the Geographic North Pole unsupported.

As one of the most experienced and highly regarded figures in the Polar guiding community, Conrad has worked with leading business and public figures throughout his career. In 2013 he was the guide for the British Team, which included HRH Prince Harry, for Walking with the Wounded’s South Pole Allied Challenge. The expedition was a success and the team reached the South Pole at 1248 (GMT), 13 December 2013.

As well as encouraging and motivating Scout Groups and a whole range of individuals in both their personal and professional lives.
